Winners at Severn Trent Clay Shoot for WaterAid
Team Detectronic – Steve Woods, Alex Woods, Wayne Allison and Dave Walker – took aim and had a fantastic day supporting Severn Trent Services’ Charity Clay Shoot for Water Aid UK.
Held at Doveridge Clay Sports & Leisure in Ashbourne, Derbyshire, Detectronic were platinum sponsors of the event which raised a over £15,000 for WaterAid UK.
16 teams, each made up of three guns, pitted their shooting skills alongside fellow competitors in a bid to win seven different prizes. Steve, Alex, Dave and in particular, Wayne, triumphed and took two trophies home!
Commenting on the event, Steve Woods said: “Dave brought along his lifelong friend Wayne – who just happens to be a game-keeper by profession – to shoot in Dave’s place. Two reasons for this: Wayne is a really good shot and Dave spent most of the day networking and eating cake, both of which he’s much better at than shooting!”
Concludes Steve: “We all had a fantastic day at Doveridge, despite some shower-dodging, and met with some really great people. We’re very proud to partner with Severn Trent Water in supporting this event and the excellent work of Water Aid UK.”
